Who are Lykke?











Lykke Exchange is a blockchain technology enabled trading platform providing real-time liquidity, open and free access to all. Lykke Coins were made available during the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) that was taking place in Sept/Oct 2016.






The challenge

The Lykke product was complicated and was immediately understood by only a small number of cryptocurrency experts.

In order for the ICO to be successful, it needed to reach a wider audience through information that needed to be delivered in a more understandable, non-technical language.

There was little time to prepare, as the ICO was launching in a couple of days, meaning activity needed to start immediately.

 

What we did

what.digital supported Lykke during the ICO by using growth hacks and digital marketing to deliver the ICO message to the target audiences.

We created a simplified pitch presentation, paying careful attention to ensure wording was kept simple, whilst explaining the complex product in an engaging and visually impactful way.

We also created a video based on the pitch presentation, to make the content easier to consume whilst also opening up advertising opportunities on YouTube, allowing us to reach a wider audience.

Finally, we pushed the ICO content on all relevant sites, including Reddit, LinkedIn and Twitter, both organically and paid. This way we were able to reach our target audience with useful content.

Through the valuable product insights gathered, in combination with the target audience insights, we were also able to help Lykke with their product development roadmap.
